Bridges
Ebony and Rosewood are the most common tonewoods for bridge materials on classical and acoustic guitars because they are very resonant.
Ebony is the top choice for bridges and fingerboards but is not very sustainable. Ebony would give you bright, “snappy” attack and smooth sustain. Ebony also has a smooth, full feel and is generally a good match with most, if not all wood combinations.
Rosewood provides a rich warm sounds, good overtones and a strong bass response. It has a good feel like Ebony. East Indian Rosewood and Brazilian Rosewood also have characteristics of clarity and exceptional sustain.
Some other tonewoods listed have been brought in to compliment the back and sides sets of those species of wood.
