Ibanez

Started on April 30, 2024: completed on May 30, 2024

This Ibanez body and neck was given to me by Jason Bozec. I assume it was a project that he worked on before and had no time or use for it any more.

The body itself isn’t a real Ibanez but it sure looks pretty damn cool with the hydro dip job on it. The monkey grip is nice to have as well. I did have to do a little modification in the pickup pockets to allow thicker wire to go through. But besides from that, the guitar itself was pretty much ready to go. I did put this on the back burner for a while – mostly because of waiting for knobs to come in.

The clear pickguard was a good idea as it allows the body to be seen and it should.

A single coil pickup was still in the pickguard when I had received it but had to be replaced as the wiring got pulled right out of the pickup. A set of humbuckers were purchased for this project : I tried a set of Artec Invader knock offs because they were rated well. I find them kind of on the quiet side compared to the single coil pickup in there. You get what you pay for ~

The neck is an Ibanez RG neck. Feels good like any Ibanez neck. I believe it is a Wizard 3 neck.
