Backs and Sides
Back and sides sets for an acoustic guitar compliment the soundboard and adds visual appeal. Figured wood is always eye catching and gives a guitar uniqueness over straight grained tonewood but is more prone to crack during the build process. Also, straight grained tonewoods would make a guitar sound better than a set that is visually appealing.
