Here is the first of my sponsor build guitars and this one will be for Stephen Clark of The Sensational Hot Rods, The Hoolies and Pretty Ugly.

Stephen has been to the shop with Jason Bozec a number of times. They give me feedback on my guitar builds and it has been entertaining to watch the two of them play and sing. Free shows for me.

Stephen’s guitar build will be a Grand Concert/00 size with bear claw Engelmann Spruce for the soundboard and Indian Rosewood for the back and sides set. The decision of these two were very quick as Stephen has played enough guitars to know what he liked already.

A Honduran Mahogany neck was really the only choice for a neck and an Ebony fingerboard to match the Ebony bridge that I specifically brought in for Stephen’s and Jason’s guitar builds. An Ebony piece has been used for the end flash as well to keep a consistent visual and wood combination.

Some custom stamping was done on the back of the neck and truss rod cover.
