The third sponsor will go to Jason Bozec; a band member with Stephen Clark and I know Jason can really shred on the guitar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After coming and trying out S\/N 008, Jason wanted something very similar to it. He wanted the figured Ovangkol for the back and sides and it is a great choice. The tonal qualities are very similar to Rosewood and the figure in the Ovangkol is very eye catching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will be trying a new kind of Spruce on Jason’s guitar – Caucasian\/Oriental Spruce. The grains are very tight on this species of Spruce and will have great sound projection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jason also decided to go with the stained White Ash for the neck. I personally like the stained Ash look. It isn’t staining a whole neck so the effect is visible and gives it a lot more than not having the grains stained at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After looking at what I had for fingerboard options, I managed to convince Jason on trying Richlite. It’s a man made wood substitute that will give consistent results in sound and quality. This particular piece I brought in will almost look like the figured Ovangkol pattern or a snake skin kind of pattern when sanded down. It definitely gives the guitar a unique look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The guitar has the other vine inlayed Ebony bridge I brought in. Seeing such inlay work is really cool. I am sure it is done by CNC cutting but still, some of the inlay work out there is so fancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to keep a dark kind of theme to Jason’s guitar so I did a light stamp with the logo and didn’t fill it like I normally would. “Jason Bozec” is stamped at the back of the head but also not filled in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With trying to move forward with visuals and my abilities, I tried something different than the norm on the head plate. I did a simple pattern on it. Better to start off easy before I get in over my head with what I am trying to accomplish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system is also installed into Jason’s guitar for stage use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
